“Zardoz” made me fall in love
with Beethoven’s 7th, but I particularly love the vocal
arrangement of the second movement that is used during the opening credits. The
piece is extremely haunting to begin with, but the voices make it even more so.
As far as I know, the arrangement must have been created for the film, as I’ve
never heard of it anywhere else.

Improvist, I absolutely agree with you... the music plays a lead
character in this fantastic, brilliant cinematic "piece of art", and
the 7th symphony fits in the greater scheme of the things as Beethoven
would have composed the music ONLY with 'ZARDOZ' in mind.
