Any tips for Mask Making?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #93 of 705 |

It has been slow going - but I'm pretty happy with my costume so far.
My biggest complaint so far is that the fur is to neat. I need to get
it clump a bit more.

The next thing to tackle is the mask.As I've never played with casting
laytex - I'm sure that I'll be learning some new things as I go.
Does anyone have any photos of their mask in progress?
How about any tips on things to avoid?
Once the Latex is cast, what are people using to color it?
(It looks like it would still be visible around the lips, nose and
possibly eyes.)

On a slightly different note - I did notice a nice mask sell on ebay
recently (For a whopping $1525):

Thanks in advance for any advice that folks can offer.
