HI Everyone,

Alex here. I'm new to the group and since I'm not used to
the "group" thing, excuse me this is my time posting. I'm a HUGE Star
Wars fan and am in the process of working on some fan films here in
Baltimore Maryland.

After a Lot of thought, I decided that I wanted a wookie in the
movies so I figured the best way to figure out wear to start is to
take a look at how other people have done it.

I've started the Face [the skull, shape of the face] with cardboard,
and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I then took fabric and
fabric stiffener [like doing paper mache'] and used the cardboard as
a mold. I left it to dry overnight and I have a nice wookie face
before me now.

I'll soon be adding the teeth [that I made out of clay and aged with
paint] and the lips [made out of foam sheets from a craft store, with
a liquid latex coating].

Then after I get the eye holes set perfectly [since right now I have
slightly bigger eye sockets for the bone structure] I'll apply the
hair. I'm using wigs for the hair since I can't afford real hair and
since wookies have hair and not fur like how ewoks do.

Anyway, that should give you a little something to hold you over till
I get some pictures up. and I'm holding onto the mold since it seems
to be pretty accurate looking I'd be willing to make a copy of what
I'm making for myself for just a lilttle more than the cost of the
product if anyone is interrested. Email me if you want to see
pictures and I haven't uploaded any yet. Or if you live in the area
and might possibly want to be a prt of these films.

Nightdragonn@...

Thanx for welcoming me to the group.

-ALEX-
