Dear all
I am writing to let you know of something really exciting happening in
London over Christmas and New Year. A new play - Woody Allen's Murder
Mysteries - is opening at the Warehouse Theatre, Croydon on Friday 9th
December.
The play is an adaptation of six short dramas written by Woody Allen at
onset of his career. The theatre will be transformed into a 1940's New
York jazz club; the comic dramas will have an overall 1940's setting,
and live jazz will weave the evening together.
This is the first time the Woody Allen has granted permission for his
work to be adapted in such a way: "I love the idea of having my short
pieces adapted by a skilful writer. It's very exciting." WOODY ALLEN on
Woody Allen's Murder Mysteries.
If any members of this group are in England or planning to be in
England before 19th February I urge you to go and see the play - the
script is a very faithful adaptation of these little known Woody Allen
stories, and of course very funny.
