Re: [Woody Allen] Digest Number 65

Heya i read this on the internet today:

Neurotic film-maker Woody Allen says he is unusually
confident about
his
forthcoming film Match Point because it features the
"strong" acting
talents
of
Scarlett Johansson.
Allen cast the 20-year-old Johansson last summer after
his original
female lead

Kate Winslet dropped out.
Match Point is set to have its world premiere at the
Cannes Film
Festival next

month.
Allen enthuses: "I'm very bullish about it and I'm
usually not. I
usually want
to crawl
into the ground after I make a film, almost
invariably, but I'm very
bullish
about it
because Scarlett Johansson is such a strong actress."

Sorry but i know there must be alot of Johansson fans
but happen to her lately!! i thought she was good in
ghost world and lost in translation because she looked
and acted like a regular girl, as in, she wasn't
anorexic looking like every other "Hollywood" actress,
but now she just fallen in with that group its so
depressing to see a nice girl who seemed to have her
own style and look turned into another manufactured
hollywood actress, can anyone have there personality
in hollywood these days without having to conform?
About woodys career, many people have commented on
Melinda and Melinda as him coming back on form, but i
think if your a fan of woodys and really understand
his humour and his style i think he's rarely been off
form! even his "non-comedy" work like Another Woman is
a master piece but it wasn't classic Allen as the
public see him, anyways just thought i'd add my 2
cents!
what does anyone else think?
