To my fellow WW fans,
I'm determined to help make this a TRUE Wil Wheaton
fan list -- so beware you g.d. spammers and
adplacers...
I know you all know about WWdN (WilWheaton.net), Wil's
infamous blog, but sometimes we can't all get to it
all the time. Here's latest news from his Appearances
page:
===
As of September 2, 2004, I have the following
appearances confirmed:
KC Kings Sportscards -- 3615 Telegraph Rd, Ventura,
CA, 93003. September 11th, 2004 at 1PM:My sister and
her boyfriend know the owner of this card shop in
Ventura, and he's bringing me up from LA for a
personal appearance. I'll be signing 8x10s, trading
cards, and all that stuff . . . and I'll also have
copies of Just A Geek and Dancing Barefoot on hand.
There's a good chance that I may even have one or two
"Python" DVDs, for those of you who simply *must* add
a terrible movie to your collection.
Gnomedex -- Lake Tahoe, Nevada. September 30-October
2, 2004: For years, Chris Pirillo has been asking me
to come to Gnomedex, and I've always been unable to
attend . . . until now! I'll be speaking on Friday,
the 1st, from 2-3:30 PM.
Linucon -- Austin, Texas. October 8-10, 2004: I've
been invited to Linucon! I'm a guest of honor, and
I'll be doing all sorts of geeky computer stuff, in
addition to the usual performance of my writing . . .
including a game of Munchkin with Steve Jackson(!).
The Linucon website has all the details. NOTICE: If
you're planing on attending the con, and want to
represent WWdN, you can sign up with the code
'clevernickname' to get $5 off! I hear that Howard
Taylor is trying to outpace the monkey sign-ups with
his own sign-ups . . . we're not going to be shown up,
are we?! ARE WE?! (uh . . . sorry about that.)
Beyond . . . There are a number of events that are in
the works, including book signings, and maybe even my
first non-local convention in several years. Stay
tuned!
