WOW, I haven't been on here for a while SUMMER TIME FINALLY :-) so I
can post more now. I recently found my picture of my uncle's friend
named DAVID. In person he is identical to Val Kilmer. It's quite
funny because even though Val is my cousin, he doesn't have time to
show up to Family gatherings since he's busy with work and stuff, so
why not send in a look a like :-) Me and him got along so well
(David that is) He's in a his thirties or forties. When I first met
him he walked into a family gathering in a black suit with
sunglasses on, his hair was done like Val's. He had the walk and
everything. I was like OMMMGGGG he looks like Val. My cousins
decided to embarass (sorry about that if that's not spelled
correctly) But any way. My cousins asked him to dance with me. He
looked over and with the VAL KILMER smile smiled and nodded. So
lucky me I got to dance with him. I couldn't stop blushing. While we
were dancing he was like "Why are you blushing?" After that he was
known as Val and he even allowed me to call him that LOL. We took a
picture together and he was like "Now you can tell people you met
Val without make up" He's such a cool guy. I'll have to scan the pic
and put it on here. Sorry for rambling but I'd thought I'd share.
See ya.

I saw two of my posts had been deleted??  WHO'S DOING THAT?????? Whoever the stupid post deleter is I WISH YOU WOULD STOP..  I am an adult and I do censor my own writting so I really don't need YOU making editing decisions for me.  Anyway, I did post this reply below, to Brandy, about a month ago & it was removed from the message board..  Who know's why, it reads ok to me.. so Im fowarding it again from my draft box.....JUST BECAUSE someone removed it.. Try it again!! .. it'll keep comin' back..

Sounds like mine!!  She's ceramic, painted in pale colors, has a full body on a pedastel with an orange light. I've never seen them before.

I would love to see Isreal!!

Mostly I've been rekindling my obsession with the dying art of cemetery headstones. I've taken pictures in cemeteries around the world (when I travel), Lately around my world LI, NY,NJ, for about 4 years or so. I absolutely fall in love with the gorgeous statues of women, angels, Mary and Jesus. I can't wait untill the leaves really start to change then I am going back to everyplace and retake photos. The 4 seasons and shots at different angles really give everything a different look and feel.. And there's nothing like taking cemetery and old church photos on a really foggy day..  So I watch the weather like crazy, LOL!!  I know that sounds weird. It's a fun hobby. I'm also obsessed with old buildings and houses.. I love good architecture.  Stoney Brooke historic village, o this town is sooooo beautiful. The Mansions are incredible.. There is one Mansion I love.. on a mountain in the middle of a forest with old rusty iron gates and doors.. [mm..I love doors], and 30 flights of stone stairs leading up atop the mountain to the mansion [don't know how they walk up and down allllll those stairs everyday] .  It has a service drive for staff and maintenance crew only, and a tower with a balcony. I so want to go up to that tower as there are stairs up to it and the balcony is all around the top you can stand on. I'd love to take a roam through that house. I always go back to see if I can get closer. Damn!!  I will get closer!!  Somedays I'm tempted to go up and ask how much their selling price is, call me when you decide to sell. I'm ganna buy that house someday..  I have very few obsessions but I get sick about houses [and thinking about the antiques I'm ganna put in My Castle, LOL!!.. and then my prince??.. wellll that's another story]  And then I like taking self portraits. I don't take to many people pictures anymore. My photography leans toward time-worn, solitude and quiet nature but without people in any of them.  Thanks for asking!!  -Rebecca~!

That was interesting Vanessa, I had no idea. Yes, I can see the
feelings of the Mexicans more clearly now. There's a lot to be said
about that article. Thank You for posting it! :-) We love hearing
your opinions! :-) keep us posted! :-) and Thanks for your
blessings! :-)

I was reading this today and was suprised that Japan was an ally.....

[From WASHINGTON - As the United States moves closer to war with Iraq
(news -website), Secretary of State Colin Powell (news - website)
said Tuesday that 30 nations have declared varying levels of support
and 15 others have given their backing privately. Japan, and some of
the other 45 nations are not necessarily committed comabat
units....some countries, for instance, have committed chemical weapon
experts who are not soldiers. In addition Japan has committed to
being involved in the post war process of rebuilding iraq.]

wow, isn't that wonderful! Japan committing to rebuild Iraq!.....I
thought how could this be, one of Japan's conditions of ending WWII
was that they would never arm themselves again. But not so, their
constitution says that they will not engage in war but can defend
themselves thence their armed forces re-called a "self defense
force". To engage in terrorism outside their borders they need to
change their constitution. See! thought that was interesting.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/Print/0,3858,4299943,00.html

OH hell! LOL! Anyway, here's my $.11 cents. I do realize that the war
is not with the people of iraq it's with their leader, and I'm not
for sending our troops over to that corner of the world. Vanessa you
said you have nothing against Americans, but have your Mexican
friends ever heard this, I guess not from reading your article, but
President Bush's first priority is not killing Saddam or putting our
people or Iraqi people in harms way, it's to disarm and destroy
Saddam's weapons of mass distruction before those weapons destroy us;
that's our whole justification for going to war. Bush's second
priority, is to take away Saddamm's leadership (to put someone more
trust-worthy in Saddam's place), and Bush has tryed to do that
peacefully by asking him to leave that country so that we can ALL
avoid war. If we go to war and it looks like we definately will, that
was Saddamm's choice not President Bush's choice. I'm against having
a war to force out Saddam; nobody wants any one to get hurt, but if
he doesn't leave the country I believe it has to be done to free Iraq
and to let those people have the same freedoms as we do or have close
to what we have....I don't know how those iraqi women survive. Your
article used the phrase, "the language of the business".....we call
that "Our Constitution" and Our Constitution is all
about "liberation" of people, improving EVERYONE'S living conditions
without racism. We love all people of different colors.

ps, it's easy for me to say all that though because I don't have a
family member going off to Bagdad, but I know how hard it will be for
all of your families to sit back and have to wait for your loved ones
to return. So for me, my idea of supporting our troops is to pray
they come back safely. I'll be thinking about you and praying for
your children. And I just hope it all works out and it's a quick one
so it doesn't kill us economically as well. Oh God, should I post
this????????? ugh! :( Ive been staring at it for 25 minutes......I
hate bad news....LOL! I definately have to stop talking so
much.....Yo k here goes.....

Hello Vanessa, I don't agree with Bush's logic either.
Someone was selling all these great aerial helicopter photographs of
the war protest March in Hollywood that I went to. I attached one
photo to this email. My friends and I are somewhere in there.
Somewhere about the middle; we jumped in a bit late.

Today the 17th, is Saddam's deadline. The president is giving another
speech, so we'll find out later if his peace mission is over and
we're going to war or not.

On that happy note, have a nice day in Mexico! :-) Brandy

Hello Vanessa,   I don't agree with Bush's logic either.

Someone was selling all these great aerial helicopter photographs of the war protest March in Hollywood that I went to. I attached one photo to this email. My friends and I are somewhere in there. Somewhere about the middle; we jumped in a bit late.

Today the 17th, is Saddam's deadline. The president is giving another speech, so we'll find out later if his peace mission is over and we're going to war or not.

On that happy note, have a nice day in Mexico!  :-)  Brandy

I still have time..

O!! how exciting a western in New Mexico?  We'll probably see a lot of westerns coming out of NM now that the governor approved the tax incentive to make more movies there.  That'll be soo cool to bring that genre back!!  I hope Val does a lot of them.  I'm not a big John Wayne fan, his movies were soooo old, but did anyone see the one with Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacClaine was a nun in Mexico, LOL!!  that was soooo funny..  I loved her snippyness in that.. I don't like the old stuff, but the 70's westerns were great, The Electric Horseman, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Bonnie and Clyde..  Hope they make more like that. Young Guns was ok.  Says The Missing is based on the novel 'The Last Rider',  I may just get a sneak preview and take this book out of the library to see what the general [Val's role] does..  -Becca~!

 Eckhart, Kilmer, Schweig Go 'Missing'
Fri March 14, 2003 03:55 AM ET

By Marc Graser

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Aaron Eckhart, Val Kilmer and Eric Schweig have joined the cast of Revolution Studios' western "The Missing," which Ron Howard is directing in New Mexico.

The film, set in 1885 New Mexico, stars Cate Blanchett as Maggie Gilkeson, who teams up with her long-estranged father (Tommy Lee Jones) to track down her daughter, who was kidnapped by a psychopathic killer. The two must catch the killer and his band of outlaws before they reach the Mexican border.

Eckhart, who next appears in Paramount Pictures' sci-fi action film "The Core," will play Brake Baldwin, who runs Blanchett's ranch and is her love interest.

The actor recently landed a lead role in John Woo's action film "Paycheck" for Paramount. He also will appear in Paramount's "Suspect Zero" later this year. Previous credits include roles in "Erin Brockovich" and "Nurse Betty."

Schweig will play the film's murderous villain, Chidin, who with his brutal pack of Army deserters has kidnapped a group of teenage girls. His credits include Disney's "Tom and Huck" and "The Scarlet Letter" and Fox's "The Last of the Mohicans."

Meanwhile, Kilmer, who resides in Santa Fe, where "Missing" is shooting, has a cameo role in the film as a general.

Based on the Thomas Eidson novel "The Last Ride," Revolution is producing "Missing" with Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer and Daniel Ostroff from a script by Ken Kaufman.

Columbia Pictures has scheduled March 1 to open the film.

HEAT is on at 1am tonight (eastern time) - Thursday 13th - on TNT

Friday 14th -  THE DOORS - 8pm - Encores True channel

Saterday 15th - TOP GUN - 11:15pm - TBS

..HEAT is one of Val's movies I didn't buy yet. I couldn't find it on any store shelf.. it has to be ordered.. So I'll be watching tonight!!  Even though I own most of his movies I like to watch them on tv.. I get a different feeling then when I'm watching my videos alone..  As I'm watching on tv I like the idea of thinking there are thousands of Val fans across the nation watching the movie at the same time as I am..  whistleing and cheering him on!!  so I'll be thinking you!!   -I love how it ends when Charlene looks out the window and val gets out of the car and his hair is cut.. and you know he's going to be safe.  GREAT SCENE!!  I love how she lies to protect him..

I don't have Top Gun either because I've seen it on tv a lot. Someone at the Flee market was selling an old used copy with a ratty ripped up box for $15.00.. LOL!! Gimme a break I'll buy a new one for $7.99 - $9.99.. The nerve of some people tryin' to rip you off like you don't know any better.. I hate that shht. The guys trying to convince me it's a classic and worth the $15.00. LOL!! may be worth $15.00 because Val is in it..  but you can order any old movie through a video store brand spanking new 3 times cheaper.. Moron, LOL!!  [I didn't say that to him though], I hate when people pull that with old issues of magazines and books too..  wellllllllllll, that was my rant for the night.  See You!!  -Becca~!

I'd want to see these 9 women first: Renee Zellweger, Gweyneth Paltrow, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Elisabeth Shue, Mira Sorvino, Fran Dresher, Meryl Streep and Julia Ormond  .   THAN if I saw Reese Witherspoon, Alicia Silverstone, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Elizabeth Hurley, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Bette Midler, and Joan Rivers I wouldn't call it a bad day..  ..and the list goes on and on..LOL!!   I must add that Val is by far my favorite breathing man in Hollywood/N.M./ontheplanet..  (that is, including my male friends and my father..  and leaving out my soon to be EX boyfriend..LOL!!)

hm.. people can be very disappointing.. (I'll need more time to comment on this one).

LOL!!  YES!!  I'd love to know him more intimately.  I can honestly say you're not the only one, A biography is exactly what he needs.. I love listening to how he speaks in the magazine articles he's done and I'd love to read a book full of his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions, his sense of humor..  I'd want to know what's in his heart; what he prays about, what makes him smile, what his limitations are, what his hormones are saying.. Tell me everything.. LOL!!  O god, shut me up..  -Rebecca~!

I had to get photo's printed for our ids (if we get picked; it's a lottery), figers crossed. If I'd known I would have sent them in earlier, I'll know better next year. I'm really not looking forward to seeing a lot of actors, a few, but I get way too passionate about certain actresses. I've got a long list of them I want to see. Mia Farrow is one. Same here, I love everything she's done. She was beautiful in Rosemary's baby, I love her voice.  I don't care for the subject matter but I bought the movie for my Mia collection.

Rebecca I loved, but well Du Maurier was a suprisingly dark women, I read biographies because I'm interested in how authors lived their lives; du mauries avoided literary circles, was emotionally dishonest, cruel to her children.....ect, ect. She lived in a mentally dark world.  I get all excited to read about their glamorous lives and then, but you know.....I feel disappointed in people sometimes. Sorry for leading you off topic   I'll get right back on topic:  wouldn't it be cool if val wrote a biography?  We hear so little about who he is and what he's thinking. I would love to read ANYTHING by him.  Brandy

alike. If you love them, Loreena will blow your mind (but there's no
rock in her music, a lot of nature sounds..wind blowing, echoing
voices..the sound of running horses..she's awesome. The Fallen CD is
really good? yeah?? I only heard that one song *Laughs*. I will
definately give it a listen though.. Should be in Walmart..

President's speech so was just wondering if they'll cancel Leno ?

Woooooohoooooo! That is one great photo on the home page!

Off topic, but thought you might like to know...Tonight, March 6, on
the Tonight Show, the musical guest will be Evanescence.
They are an emerging group from Little Rock, finally something good
to come out of Arkansas! LOL! (I live in AR). Their new CD, Fallen,
debuted this week, and it's really good IMHO. Two of the songs from
that CD are on the Daredevil soundtrack. (Please, don't throw those
rotten tomatoes at me! heheh!) Thought you might want to take a look
and a listen to them. Just because I'm older, doesn't mean I have to
listen to geezer rock! LOL!
