From Wikipedia(partially)….” ‘Urgh! A Music War’ acquired a cult following in the United States in the 1980s due to its frequent showings on USA Network, .Sundance Channel and The Movie Channel.
It was aired on VH1 Classic on October 30, 2006 as part of its Rock and Roll Picture series. This version was heavily cut. It's best showing to date has been on INHD now known as Mojo. It has been broadcast a few times there including 11/16/06 and 11/18/06 There was only one song cut and the picture was very clear like a real dvd would be. 

“This movie consisted of a series of punk and new wave songs, without narration or explanatory text. All clips were live, recorded around 1980, mainly in England and the USA. Clips were also taken from a concert in
Fréjus, France with the Police, XTC, Skafish and UB40 among others.”

Around August 4th 2009 Warner Home Video released what they call an archive version of this film. This is being called an official dvd release but there are something's that are iffy about it.  As of Aug 6th 2009 I am waiting for my copy to come in the mail.  We will talk be talking about this newest release among other things when it starts to roll in!
