Cool, I did actually try something like this, but it is very hard to
get a good hole cutter in Sydney. We are too close to China, and
everything available is crap unless I want to spend about $90 per holesaw.

Great! That's what I was looking for. I originally assumed the treads
were off a conveyor component and visited a few conveyor belt makers
here in Sydney. Now I know the tracking blocks were added later, I'm
back to making it from scratch.

Dan, I thought I was set for email, but apparently I was set for web
only so I didn't get to see your photos. Any chance of posting them to
the photos section?
