Re: [treadwellbuilders] Re: New start questions.

Thanks for the reply and info.  I am going to collect the parts for the body and head.  I am anxious to see your drawings on the arms.  I hope that I can make them move.  I saw your Mouse Droid on the tinyurl site.  Nice work.  The show looked great!

Thanks
Paul

Paul,
I'll work on some drawings and measurements for the Treadwell arms.

Yes, the WED-15-1662 is totally different than the WED-15-77.
The WED-15-1662 has seven arms and is called a "septoid" droid:

For the treads, I went to a local lumber yard (Menards) and found a
big roll of black rubber(it's a rubber mat) I cut the rubber into
long pieces and then cut up a bunch of small rectangular pieces and
glued them on to make the look of a tread.

For the body, I made it out of PVC pipe first. Then I glued aluminum
onto the PVC pipe. I used that thin aluminum that comes in big rolls -
I think the aluminum is used for roofing houses.

You've got a great website! Hey, I made a cardboard mouse droid too!
