After my last post I've had a couple of questions from people with
tickets to "Our Leading Lady". Even though there may be a seat and row
number on your ticket, all tickets for "Our Leading Lady" are general
admission, which means first come, first choice as to where you sit.
So as I suggested before it's a good idea to arrive early, especially
if there are a group of you that are planning to sit together. The
theater is small and I would say all the seats were full for the
performance that I attended. For evening performances that start at
7:30pm the house opens at 7pm so keep that in mind as to when you plan
to arrive.

Here's some convention and other appearance news:

Kate will be a guest at FedCon XVI which takes place June 8 - 10, 2007
at the Hotel Maritim in Bonn, Germany.

She will also be a guest at Vulkon's Columbus Sci-Fi Expo which takes
place July 13 - 15, 2007 at The Midwest Hotel & Conference Center in
Columbus, Ohio. If you plan to stay at the host hotel please read
Vulkon's note about making a reservation. There is a car show in town
that weekend and the host hotel is sold out unless you mention that
you are coming for the Vulkon convention. They have saved a block of
rooms for Vulkon but once they are gone, they are gone and the other
hotels in town will also be sold out.

Tickets for both conventions are on-sale now and links for the

Other News: Kate will be appearing in the National Alzheimer's
Association Awareness Campaign which is launching on April 16, 2007.
She will also serve as the honorary chairperson for the Dubuque Memory
Walk in Dubuque, Iowa on Sept. 22nd, 2007. More information about both
coming soon.

As always all convention and other appearances are tentative and

The play "Our Leading Lady" takes place just before and during the
night of President Lincoln's assasination at Ford's Theatre. In the
play Kate plays Laura Keene, an actress in the play "Our American
Cousin", which was being performed when Lincoln was shot. Author James
Swanson has written a book titled "Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for
Lincoln's Killer" which gives some good information about the night
Lincoln was assasinated including references to the play and Laura
Keene. An excerpt from the book can be read in an article in today's
(Sunday, March 18, 2007) edition of The Frederick (MD) News Post about
the author and his upcoming appearances in Frederick, Maryland. Here's

For those who have been asking me about The Black Donnellys: I know
starting April 23rd NBC is suppose to be airing a new reality show
Mondays at 10PM instead of The Black Donnellys. But the latest that
I've heard is that The Black Donnellys is moving to Fridays. So as far
as I know it isn't cancelled and we should be able to see the rest of
the episodes for the season. Will let you know if I read/hear anything
more.
