The Toronto Screenwriters Network was formed in the summer of 2001. Many of us are/were students of screenwriter, playwright and story editor Nika Rylski at George Brown (416-699-4209 or nikar@sympatico.ca for more info).
We are looking to further our potential by supporting each other in as many ways as possible. Our community is non-competitive (at least amongst ourselves), and seeks to create an environment where we all can continue to learn, develop, discuss, share and ultimately succeed as writers.
We meet every two weeks or so to workshop scripts, brainstorm and discuss screenwriting issues. Those wishing to join our meetings can contact Karen Tulk at skankywillow@hotmail.com. We intend to host various other events in the future.
Please feel free to contribute to the site and to the message board. Simply hit the "Post" link on the left, or send your message to the email address below. The message board can be quite active, so we recommend that you choose the setting "Daily Digest" rather than "Individual Email," thereby limiting your mail from us to one per day.
Members with hotmail addresses or filters on their email may find that our messages get deleted or moved to other folders.
