Hi Cass,

I hope you came into the chat
room to check your messages. I wanted to chat a little
now......and more later.

I wish I had gotten Tom's
autograph. I had chances to. I could have tried. I looked at
his books in the library. Oh well. Really too late.
Did you ever think of asking him?

Joyce
He
looked like such a nice man.
Hi Joyce,

I would like to see the whole
thing one of these days.

But it's like "Texas
John Slaughter" if you don't get up at 5am then you
can't see it..thats when it plays on the Disney
channel!! I have caught it a few times.

Cass
Hi All,

I just caught the last hour of this Tryon Film..very funny,
great work on Tom's part. I look forwarding to seeing it all.

All the
best..
Cass
Cass,

I never knew that Tom was in Beau
Brummel. I think Stewart Granger was. Isn't the pic you
got from the magazine a still from that movie? I
thought it said that on the bottom.

Joyce
I have never read any of his books.
I hear they are very good.

Just
found a nice autographed photo of Tom on ebay..take a look at it.

Cass
Cass,

Did you ever read one of Tom's books? I never did, but I saw them
in the library. I think one book was made into a movie. Was it, "Harvest
Home"? Not sure.

Joyce
That is sad!! You know something I never could
stand that kid!! he was in "Shane" when he was little
and he whined and whined in that show..very
annoying..

But that is awfully sad. I'm sorry about
it..

Cass
Cass,

Did you know that Brandon de Wilde; the actor who played John
Wayne's son in the movie, died in a car accident in 1972? He was only 30 years
old. Isn't that sad?

Joyce
Thanks for all the Help!! I am in web design as a
business and have found that most people Just stumble
across everything.

So, I believe we will get
more people soon :) (and if not we'll have a nice time
posting)

Thanks,
Cass
Hi Cass,

Don't give up. I'm pulling for
you. I wish there was a way I could advertise for you.
I used to be in PR. I keep thinking of a way to
help you get people in this chat room. Mr. Tryon is
worth remembering.

Take care.

Joyce
Hi Joyce,

I keep hoping too that more
people will Join. We have another member that has yet to
post..so I guess this is a good time to say Hi :).

I'm sure we will get many more fans..
Cass
I watched "The Cardinal" the other day. I taped
it a long time ago.

The minute I saw Tom
Tryon I started to cry because he is gone. I never do
that. I was just emotional that day or
something.

I really miss him. He was a wonderful actor.
You know in the above movie my late uncle's
friend, Gilbert Roland was in that. My uncle Greg knew a
lot of movie stars, but I don't think he knew Tom
Tryon. I wish he had.

Mr Roland was such a nice
man. I remember when I was 11 years old my uncle gave
a pool party, and Antonio Moreno - friend of Mr.
Roland's - came there too.

He also knew Rosaland
Russell. That was great.

Joyce
Cass,
Yes, I love JAG. And, like everyone
else, think DJE is a hunk. A married hunk. Of course my
boyfriend looks a little like him.

My favorite Tom
Tryon film is The Cardinal. I love that movie. His
acting is wonderful.

What favorite is yours? If
you don't mind my asking.

Joyce
Since Marilyn died the movie was never completed.
I don't think she was ready to have scenes with
Tom. Tom was in the movie, just not in scenes with
Marilyn yet. What a shame. That movie would have been so
funny.

Yes, I know about David James Elliott. I watch JAG
every week. I guess because all my family is NAVY. He
does look at bit like Mr. Tryon.

Mr Elliott has
a long an wonderful career ahead. I guess we're
both curious to see what he does in films.

I'm
glad we share the same feelings about Mr. Tryon.
Hi
welcome to the club!! great to have
someone join.

I never knew about the marylin m.
movie with tryon..very interesting.

He was a
very great and rare actor..very few around!!
If
you have seen an actor named david james elliott he
looks alot like Tom and I find his acting skills are
among that of Tom's..it would be great to see him some
movies that Tom played..

Cassasong
I read after a while that Tom didn't want to do
movies anymore. That is why he decided to become a
novelist. A what a damn good one he was.

I also
heard he didn't like Otto Preminger, but he made a few
movies with him. Those were darn good ones too; The
Cardinal especially.
You know I never knew till the other night I saw
Marilyn Monroe's, "Something's Got To Give", that she
never finished, that Tom Tryon was "Adam".

I've
seen "Move Over Darling" with Doris Day, but I wish
Marilyn had finished her movie. She never had a scene
with Tom Tryon. Boy did he look handsome.
