Hi Everyone!
For everyone who was curious as to why there was no info on a
TV series titled "Kon Tiki", the reason is that there was never a
show titled that, however, there was one called "Adventures in
Paradise" starring Gardner McKay (NOT Tom Tryon) the show ran from
1959-1962, in this show McKay was the captain of the schooner
named "Tiki III"… I obtained this info from a close friend of Tom's.
If you would like to learn more about the show please visit the
following site: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052440/
Have a great weekend!
Cass :)
Thanks! I am hoping to learn as I go along, I love Tom Tryon XD

Is anyone out there old enough to remember Tom's tv show, Kon
Tiki? It was about a large island ship cruiser, I forget what it was
called, that he was the captain of. He sailed around with charters
and got involved in some exciting adventures. It was yanked off tv
in the middle of the 1st or 2nd season. No one ever said why. It
was getting good ratings and back then, they didn't really pull a
show off in the middle of the season. There was a rumor that he had
offended some bigwig, and he put pressure on the network to cancel
the show. I think it was because of his sexual preference, which was
not tolerated back then. At least, not if a person was open about it.
After that he was kind of out of sight for awhile, and then he
began to write and published Harvest Home.
Hi Everyone!
A fan of Tom's sent me an e-mail, asking for info on Tom's tv
show "KonTiki", this is not something I have ever heard of. If anyone
could provide any info, or remembers it, please let me know...
Thanks so much!
Cass :)
This is a really good movie, usually runs around this time of year. I
never knew how nice looking he was until I saw this.I'm not sure what the
year on this was, might have been shortly before Patricia Neal had her
stroke.

Hi Sarah
It's great that your grandmother and Tom were cousins !
Tom was a wonderful and talented writer. Actually, he was the best !
I did some researches on the Web, and here it is. Unfortunately, Tom was

used book store. there's a few by me that have them. It might be a
little easier than being outbid on ebay.

This might sound a little strange, but please hear me out. I'm
wondering if anyone here knows where Tom Tryon is buried. The reason
I ask is not because i'm all weird and into celebrity graves (if i
was it's a 10 minute ride for me to get to Hollywood Forever) but
because i am related to him through my maternal grandmother (they
were cousins). I've always felt like an outsider in my family and

be greatly appreciated. Thanks. *oh..one more thing, i'm not sure if
my email is listed here or if i'll be contacted if i get any

Thanks again...in advance.
