Is anyone out there old enough to remember Tom's tv show, Kon
Tiki? It was about a large island ship cruiser, I forget what it was
called, that he was the captain of. He sailed around with charters
and got involved in some exciting adventures. It was yanked off tv
in the middle of the 1st or 2nd season. No one ever said why. It
was getting good ratings and back then, they didn't really pull a
show off in the middle of the season. There was a rumor that he had
offended some bigwig, and he put pressure on the network to cancel
the show. I think it was because of his sexual preference, which was
not tolerated back then. At least, not if a person was open about it.
After that he was kind of out of sight for awhile, and then he
began to write and published Harvest Home.
