hi! this is a first post from a first-time member. first of all, i
can't believe that i found this group -- this is so great. i've been
dying to talk about woody allen's films for a while and it's nice to
finally have an outlet for that. that said, i have to admit that i'm
really into woody's more dramatic oeuvre -- my favorite
being 'interiors' -- i personally feel that this film is unfairly
maligned, especially with stupid comments referring to it as a
bergman rip-off. well then so what if it's a bergman rip-off? it's
still freaking good -- it's so haunting, especially that shot of the
three sisters looking out the window, and geraldine page...anyway i
just wanted to know what other people think of this film and whether
you guys also wish that woody would make these types of films in the
future...

by the way another savage comedy along the lines of the very funny
deconstructing harry would not be so bad either...

I can see "Deconstructing Harry" as a spinoff from Bergman's "Wild Strawberries" and "Celebrity" as a spinoff from Fellini's "La Dolce Vita" . . . it is not...
