Sizemore Quits Film in Bid To Stay Clean
Troubled actor Tom Sizemore has turned down a role in forthcoming
movie The Fifth Commandment in a final bid to kick his drug addictions
for good. The Black Hawk Down star - who's fought a long-standing
battle with substance abuse - is taking a break from making movies to
give himself enough time to rebuild his shattered life. He says, "I
want it to be over - for me - for this nightmare of drug abuse to be
over with and to get on with my career. After some careful
consideration and a long talk with my parents, I've decided to turn it
down until I get 30 to 60 days sobriety. The reason I don't want to do
the movie is real simple. I need some clean time, some real clean
time."
