Michael plays Ethan Jenkins, the associate pastor of a mega-church in the wealthy, predominantly white suburbs. Ethan is comfortable in his music ministry at the media-savvy suburban mega-church, The Rock. When Ethan's unorthodox style gets him in trouble with church leadership, his senior pastor/father Jeremiah Jenkins (J. Don Ferguson, Remember The Titans) sends him downtown to serve at their church, a black congregation in the projects.
Veteran stage actor and playwright jeff obafemi carr stars as Jake Sanders, the street smart tough African-American who ministers to the gang members, teen mothers, and drug addicts of the urban Second Chance Community Church.
