Dear All,
I am delighted to announce that the first reproduction of the Inigo
Montoya rapier has been completed.
This followed from a private customers order and has taken six
months to complete from start to finish. The rapier reproduces
Inigos sword as closely as possible, being a fully carved, gold
plated, real stone encrusted 17th century style swept hilt rapier.
The sword is of course actually made and balanced for a six fingered
man.
The carving throughout the hilt tracks the stories of the three
main characters associated with the sword in the movie, Domingo
Montoya, Inigo, and of course Count Rugen. The stories interweave
where the characters meet and detail depicts the outcome of each
meeting.
Each sword features 32 stones, real garnets and lapis lazuli, which
are outstanding with the real gold hilt.
This shall be available for general order, as the hilt is cast in
separate pieces before assembly, finishing and plating. I do not
have an exact cost as yet, but any interested parties, please feel
free to drop me a private mail.
And no fine rapier is complete without.... a lovely wee matching
dagger. I couldn`t resist making this just to complete the family.
Photographs of all these are now uploaded to the photos section,
where I hope all dedicated fans of the movie might enjoy them.
Yours Very Truly,
Paul Macdonald,
