Re: Family disagreement :-)

Yes, I know, it was a famous scene from I think
an Errol Flynn pirate film. Much of the Princess
Bride is a very clever mickey taking of the good old
Hollywood swashbuckling genre. That's why it stuck in my
memory - it was an obvious copy of the Errol Flynn film
- it seems I was mistaken however :-(<br>Clutching
at straws - perhaps there was an earlier uncut
version as there is a very obvious cut in the film - we
don't get to see how the two heroes get down from the
window :-)<br><br>Colin

I've seen the movie about 1,000 times since "87" and I noticed for the first time a few months ago that the clouds are paintings and they never change....

I have never seen any such part of the movie and I have gone through enough (5 to be exact) VHS tapes to know. Not to mention I have seen it too many times to...

&gt;I don't think there was a cut made there. The screenplay (and not even the final version) indicates they jump just like &gt;Buttercup, which is what the...

Wonder if there was a 3 Musketeers movie or a pirate movie you saw at the same time? They jump in the book, too, and since the screenplay was done by the ...
