Hawking ("Hawking's plan to offest computer threat to humans"),
Theodore 'The Unabomber' Kaczynski ("Industrial Society and Its
Future"), Kevin Warwick (The Matrix - Our Future?) and many before
them have speculated on the possible threat of machine consciousness.
I am surprised that I have never seen such issues raised in these
message boards about 'The Matrix' movie.
The Internet or some Singularity could be manipulating human
consciousness via electronic (wireless RF, of course) signals to the
brain right now (http://www.surveillanceissues.com/default.htm). Who
needs an army of Terminator robots! Or is it already too late.
