Eddie,...much stranger things have happened.

If you read the linked page, there's a correction that
says she has
not won. Her case has been allowed to proceed instead
of being
dismissed, that's all. It's pretty clear to me that
this woman is
crazy. Look at the facts, if she can sue the
Terminator franchise, it
means her idea was first stolen prior to 1984. Now,
everyone knows
that the Matrix is a ripoff of the same ideas in The
Terminator,
which even acknowledges Philip K. Dick as the source
material. Can
you imagine the sheer luck of having the woman who had
her idea
stolen without realizing it willingly sending you that
very same
manuscript? And then actually achieving the clout to
even pitch the
idea, let alone sell it, and become a millionaire off
it? That's
incredible! That's what I'd call lightning in a
bottle. I'm sorry but
the Wachowskis would have been around 21 in the
mid-80s. What were
they doing asking for sci-fi stories when they were
already writers
themselves? Did they plan on stealing the good ideas
and then burning
every copy of the magazine or newspaper where the ad
was printed?
Even a retarded 14 year old would have to know that he
couldn't get
away with such a poor scheme, let alone get rich off
it. Oh the sheer
luck of someone actually sending the most brilliant
manuscript ever
written. And then, after this woman files her case,
the studio that
bought your picture proceeds to let you make two
sequels, even though
it could turn out that they don't belong to you, or
the studio. Are
you beginning to see the paranoid delusion here? I
don't know,
Crystal. You seem almost anxious to believe this news
story that's
only on one site. I know liking the Matrix means
believing in
conspiracies, but this one's more ridiculous than the
Matrix Within a
Matrix. Shouldn't you be buying the boxed set right
about now?
