I turned on my computer this morning and saw the headline. I cried a little and
went to telephone one of Kim's former colleagues. She was also shocked to learn
of this.

Kim always credited David with giving him a big chance to be a recurring
character on prime-time television. After KF:TLC ended, they kept in touch.

I was aware that David had some problems, but I always hoped he would overcome
them.
