Re: [The Low Rent Kim Chan Fan Club] Share, anyone?

My condolences to Kim's family.   I had the honor of knowing Kim when I was a
teenager and in my early college years.  I worked in his sister's restaurant the
House of Lee an off shoot of his father's restaurant the well known House of
Chan.  I was the delivery boy for approximately six years.  I remember Kim often
visiting the restaurant when he was in NY (he traveled alot to Cali in those
years) Kim would always come in and be the celebrity bar tender and tell stories
to the customers and the staff about the acting and movie scene.  Kim will be
missed by many people whose life he touched.

I was just thinking...it would be a neat way to honor Kim if those of
you who knew him no matter how long ago, or who have met him no matter
how briefly, might tell a little story about their experience with
him? If it's okay with everyone and not too personal to share...

I would go first but ironically I never met him, even though I founded
this club!
