Video Technician
Intel’s Media and Acoustic Perception Lab (MAPL)is looking to hire a video
technician for the assistance in editing, formatting and authoring an
instructional DVD on how to assess video quality. The knowledge of the video
technician needs to be solid, accurate and up-to-date. In addition to
developing the DVD, other tasks will include organizing and formatting video
clips into categories for testing purposes.
Technical Requirements:
¿ Ability to convert video content into different formats accurately (raw to
compressed, compressed to raw with and without containers)
o Examples: UYVY, YUV, RBG, MPEG2, MPEG1, MPEG4, H.264, MOV, QUICKTIME, WMV
o Progressive to interlaced and interlaced to progressive
¿ Ability to edit content, add overlays and construct appropriate timelines
o Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Virtual Dub
¿ Organize and categorize content based on content type (high color
saturation, detail, region of interest)
¿ Ability to degrade and enhance images for instructional use
¿ Author Blu-ray DVD
¿ Have usability and some design talent
¿ Understand the basics of encode, decode, transcode and post processing
features
Organizational Requirements:
¿ Must be able to multi-task
¿ Must know and have a firm grasp on editing software to avoid learning on
the job
¿ Time efficient
¿ Ability to communicate about completed tasks and be pro-active about next
steps
¿ Be organized, disciplined, punctual, and self-motivated
