That pretty much covers all the films I managed to drag myself to. X-Men 3 I
liked a lot,
though did anyone else notice a GLARING continuity error? When Magneto finishes
moving
The Golden Gate Bridge it is daytime. We cut to the reverse shot and suddenly
it's the middle
of the night. Perhaps it was a meant as an homage to Ed Wood.
I definitely liked Pirates, so glad they didn't just try to remake the first one
and I like the
world they are creating. Davy Jones's strategy is very reminiscent of Totsakin
in The
Ramakien (or Ravana in The Ramayana if you prefer). The end had people burst
into
applause and I can't wait for the third.
Superman was done very well but I think they took the violence a little far and
why is it there
are no heroines these days who aren't "girlie?" What happened to the strong
female
characters, the Katherine Hepburns and Karen Allens? Shrinking violets are all
the rage again
(even in X-Men 3). I think Jeanine Garofallo would have been a better Lois
Lane.
