This just came on CBC for me a little while ago. (If you're in Quebec
or Ontario, it'll be on for you in about half an hour from this post.
For the rest of Canada, check it out at 11 pm your time.) It was so
crazy, but so cool.
Anyhoo! 'Guest Room' is a short film Zach was in a few years ago. He
played a college student who needed to finish his master's thesis and
ends up staying with this couple and their teenage daughter. Of
course, the daughter's hormonal, and she finds him fascinating, not to
mention--to her--she actually has someone other than her parents to
talk to. The mother is all mother-like and flirtatious. The dad's just
plain annoyed.
The teenage girl is played by Katie Boland, who was in the miniseries
'Salem Witch Trials' with Zach. According to him, she's also good
friends with his sister, Sophie. When Zach first told me about this a
few years ago, he mentioned there was a scene where his character
kisses Katie's character (something like that) and he found it a
little weird (actually, I think his word of choice was "ew!" ;))
because she was/is one of Sophie's friends.
Anyway. I thought it was hilarious and very well done. :D
