Dear TFSIG folks,

I want to remind you that we will resume meeting in January with a
meeting on January 24th. (The calendar on the Yahoo TFSIGNC site has
future meetings as well)

This meeting begins a shift towards more "programs" and less
"organizational" stuff although we have plenty of interesting
organizational issues plus meet & greet to do.

The LOCATION for this meeting is still up in the air. It will either
be our "regular" location in Durham OR the School of Communication
Arts auditorium, north of Raleigh. I wanted to get the meeting
firmly on everyone's calendar, regardless. Look for another news
email with the final location. We will convene as usual at 7:30PM.

January meeting plan:

1) we will show a short (under 20 min) film by a member who will be
present to chat about it.

2) I have an interesting "community building + PR" item to discuss
with the group but I'm not ready to broadcast the exact possibility
thru an email. Your opinions, abilities and interest in film
community may get a great chance to exercise themselves. (Note: this
is not a group hug exercise, but an opportunity to take on a project)

3) we will discuss future programs. In addition to continuing to
show films by members with some discussion, we are talking about an
HD camera comparison workshop, we are open to screening any work in
progress seeking feedback at any time, and we have the idea of a
session about legal issues for filmmakers in the pipeline.
