My gut says there will be, but it's important to remember that for both DAYS OF
HEAVEN and THIN RED LINE, Malick only added the voiceovers during editing, in
part because he had to cut and change so much of the film he had shot that he
needed something to keep them together (this was especially true of DoH, I
believe). For TTRL, in fact, wasn't the voiceover originally read by Billy Bob
Thornton, and only later changed to the various actors in the film?
Which is all just a fancy way of saying: For all we know, Malick himself may not
have decided yet.
