Kids were out of the house and once I started the first one I couldn't stop.
Like trying to eat one chip out the bag of lays.
In the Cold Souls interview what an odd thing to say...tapeworm?
I spent this weekend in bed thanks to pnuemonia (sp?)
So I watched movies when awake and sometimes while not.

I'm sure Wendy won't mind that you posted
the Goofy (and downright scary) G-Man pic
in her album; it's all part of the cause,
after all.
John Adams in ONE sitting?! Did you have a
tape worm? ; P
yo Robbie
This is too freaky weird!
We are totally on the same wave length.
I was flipping between my Frost/Nixon reviewer's copy and the bonus
footage for "Cinderella Man" getting hyped up for SAG awards.
Frost/Nixon is alot of movie to take in one sitting.
But I managed to get through John Adams in one sitting....hmmm
I added that goofy G-man picture to the veggie photo book--hope she
doesn't mind, too lazy to create a whole new album for one picture.

So yesterday, I saw Frost/Nixon, and before
the film, one of the previews was for the
G-Man's upcoming movie Duplicity, which
looks fantastic. Can't wait for this one.
Yeah, Thunderpants isn't really vital to
anyone's Pauly G collection, no big loss if
you don't see it, Chica.
I don't see myself rushing out to buy a copy but if I run accross it in
the cheap bin I may pick it up.
I wonder if that Bubba Ho-Tep project will ever get off the ground--it
won't be the same with out Bruce Campbell. But I would see for the G-
man factor.
Word-
Chica
Wooohooo!
Too bad he wasn't there to accept it! Where was he anyway?? Getting a
hair cut?
Did so love Laura Linney's comment about not fondling the "actor"
statue--
Wondering if we will see him up there next year for "Cold Souls".
Yeah, he's great in Big Fat Liar, especially
the 'blue' scenes. Just hilarious. Nobody
could have been a better Wolfie.
In Thunderpants, he plays this really uptight
govt guy, which is funny in its own way. His
part isn't that big but whadiyaknow, his scenes
in the movie are the best.
Hi again Robby
No I haven't seen 'Thunderpants"
What is your take on it?
Ok you dragged it out of me 'Big Fat Liar' is kind of a guilty pleasure. My 8
year old son just thinks the blue Paul is the funniest thing ever.
I enjoy the obvious silliness of the dance around the pool to Duran Duran.

Hey, Chick ~ I was actually searching online
for a dvd screener of that film; if you come
across one, I would love a copy, needless to say.
Just checked out the youtube interview you were
referring to, hadn't seen that one before!
Here's the link, for anyone else here, who's
interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot5XsN3Sx48.
Yes, love Paul's double Gemini energy (Sun/Moon both
in Gemini); it was funny, when the interviewer in that
one was talking about auras and such, you could see
from his body language that he doesn't put much stock
in that kinda stuff but he's young, he'll learn.
Yeah, the mp3 interview re: Cold Souls - love it.
Especially the part where he talks about how
tricky it was, playing himself and playing
different versions of himself, with no soul,
a different soul, all that.
The thing I've always gotten off most on with Paul
(besides the energy and humor) is his intelligence,
which he brings to every role, even something
commercial and silly like Big Fat Liar or
Shoot 'Em Up.
Have you seen Thunderpants, by any chance?
Peace back at ya (and should I call you
something besides Chick?) ~
Robby
Hey Robbie-
Got the Cold Souls thing--listened to it a couple of times today.
Sounds like an engrossing movie. Oc'lly I can get my hands on a dvd
copy of Movies for the press--I will definitly keep an eye out for
it.
While scouting for the G.G. speech I ran accross his "spiritualism in
hollywood" interview- I am impressed at how patient and down to earth
Pauly G seems. I am sure there are times that he doesn't feel he puts
his Masters from Yale to work (Big Fat Liar-Paycheck) and then he
does stuff like Chekov and Adams....Dudes got range.
Peace out

Hey, Chick~ Welcome to the group! Not
finding any links to his acceptance speech,

should suffice - ! GREAT interview, in
every possible way. It's on my iPod, where
it will stay for a long time.
Yeah, the people on IMDb can be really
mean-spirited, which is why I limit my
posting there. Unbelievable how so many
think it's ok to say those kinds of things;
boggles the mind.
Ironically I had just rented John Adams (I have since bought it for
my own self-husband thinks its his)and was watching the Globes
between episodes-I caught Tom Hanks' speech but missed Paul's. It was
on my space but the Copyright police caught it before I did--does any
one have a link so I can view it?
Also has anyone noticed how unkind some of the posters are on his
board at IMDB--not neccessarily to Pauly G but to each other??

Certainly can't wait to see this one. Also, here's a link (from Cinematical. com), to a downloadable Mp3 of a very cool 15 minute interview with Paul, on the subject of this movie. Great stuff.

This seems the perfect vehicle for a self-proclaimed
athiest like Paul ~ cannot wait to see what he does
with this material. And of course the dvd will be
in my possession soon as it's available, as well.
A definite MUST for any Giamatti collection.

Glad you got to see it. Wasn't it funny when he said "it's a long walk up here"? A long walk, indeed! Great that he's finally getting at least some of the recognition he's deserved for years now.

In case you didn't watch, I'm happy to report that Paul walked away with the Best Actor in a Mini Series Golden Globe last night, couldn't have been any more pleased unless of course I was winning one myself. Laura Linney also won, for Best Actress in that category, and the show won for Best Mini Series.

- for his spectacular work in John Adams. It would be a real treat to see him win this one as well, after taking the Emmy. We'll find out on January 11th.

Hey, Gale - I love that, Paul Giahottie. I bet he'd be
amazed that people find him hot. I think energy, humor
and intelligence are incredibly hot, myself.
You can read my reviews, by the way, of some of his
films at my movie website, roguesreviews.com. And
if you go to my other website, Cardazoid, you can
send a free animated Paul card to anyone else you think
might appreciate it.
