Deadline for Murder: From the Files of Edna Buchanan 1995
A Killing Affair 1977 Both Co-Starring Dean Stockwell
Hi all !
So finally the campaign was a success, and we have a QL movie. The
problem is Universal don't seem to want Scott and Dean in it, while
Dean said many times on the net that him and Scott, and Don want to
do the movie. That's why the campaign continues and this time let's
write to Bonnie Hammer from Sci-Fi, and to Universal (Mr Diller and
Engel). Arguments you can use is that the movie is supposed to be
watched by leapers, and they won't go to the movies if the original
spirit of QL, cast and crew, is not respected. Besides, Scott and
Dean are more than willing to play in it - and don't tell me about
the interviews where Scott says he's not in the project : it doesn't
mean he doesn't want it and it sure doesn't mean we can't have it.
One year ago, I heard a lot of fans telling the campaign was for
nothing and wouldn't work. Now look at the result ! If we managed to
have this movie, we can have the actors we want ! I'm a lot more
optimistic about that than one year ago, 'cause this time we've done
the most difficult part. Let's all write, regularly, and tell it to
every group of fans you know !
Keep the Leaper !!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,
This group was created in error by Yahoo. They duplicated another
group "Stockwell Society". Some of you are in both groups. You do
not need to do anything. I have added those of you with email address
listed to the original group. If you "hide" your email address from
me and you do not add the other group, we will lose you. This group
will be deleted on 9/15/02.
Thanks,
Cathy
Don't have much time to explain right now, but basically, "Face to
Face" is a 2001 independent film in which Dean Stockwell starred
alongside Scott Baio. It has been shown at several film festivals,
but is not available to the general public.
I have seen this movie, and I can honestly say that it is my favorite
movie EVER! It was funny, heart-breaking, and intriguing. Dean
Stockwell gives one of his best performances... one that should earn
him an Oscar-nomination if "Face to Face" makes it into theatres.
Jeffrey Gurian, the screenwriter who wrote the script for the movie,
said that while there are several offers for distribution that would
get the movie into theaters, there is nothing definite as of right
now.
I have created a petition online so that people interested in seeing
the movie can let their voices be heard. If enough people sign, then
hopefully it will show how much demand there is for people to
see "Face to Face".
If you want to learn more about the movie, you can visit my fansite
here:

As a matter of fact, there is talk of a Quantum Leap movie possibly
being made. Universal Studios is waiting for the episode of Enterprise
called "Detained" (in which Dean is guest-starring) to air, and they
will decide from its success or failure whether or not a Quantum Leap
movie is in enough demand.
I am confident that "Detained" will get the highest ratings of the
season for Enterprise, and that Universal will give the go-ahead for
QL. With Scott's success on Enterprise, and NBC wanting to do TV show
reunions for their 75th anniversary, Universal would be stupid NOT to
do it.
All the signs point to a QL movie being made. I am really positive
about the whole thing.

I think that the best role he ever played was Al on Quantum Leap. He
just seemed taylor made for the role. And without him, the show
would not have been the success he was. I don't want to put down
Scott Bakula's talents in any way. But he just added the perfect
amount of comic relief.
I had read some time ago that a movie from the show was being made.
Does anyone know if that has been scrapped or what has happened?

Hey Joy
It is so nice to hear he's a nice
guy. Oh by the did he have someone with him like a
companion? I only ask because I have been to events or heard
from others that male or female companions husbands
wives what have you become very possessive and make it
hard on the fans and the celebrity to
interact.

Azrael
I would just die to meet Dean, but I doubt that
he will ever come to Canada. ;< Maybe I'll end up
working with him one day though. I want to be director of
photography for tv and movies, so maybe, I hope, I hope to
work with both him and Scott one day!! Everyone cross
your fingers for me!! ;P

Usagi
Well, I can't verify it, unfortunately. But it
could possibly be for a film festival if it's true. Ya
never know.

I'm crossing my fingers for you,
'cause I want EVERY Dean fan to be able to meet the
object of their affections.... Because he's the nicest
guy in the whole wide world!!!

Joy
He's only 66 years young! And I agree... he is
WAAAAAY good-looking for his age...

Even more so
in the flesh!

Joy

PS: I'm really mad
at Yahoo! now... I was looking forward to
celebrating Dean's B-day with the Sassies, but Yahoogroups is

Oh, Happy Birthday, Dean!! How old is he now anyway?? He's still so
good-looking....wow...I hope Scott (Bakula) is still that hot when he's in his
70's!! hahaha ;P

Usagi

Oh.... no, no, no.... That poster is fake! I made
that one! hehehe... What club did you see it
on?

As far as I know, there are currently no plans for a
theatrical or direct-to-video release for "Face to
Face".

However, it does have an official page on the Giants
Entertainment website now. On that page is the REAL movie
poster--with no release date on it, a detailed synopsis
(though some details are WRONG, which makes me really
mad), and.......

.......a trailer for the movie!
So, now you can catch just a glimpse of the best
movie I've ever
seen!

<a

I saw a poster ad on one of the other clubs for
FTF. It stated February 14 2002 for release. Has
anybody heard anything?

bytheway I am new to the

periodically watched QL when it was on orginally and one of my

better looking with age.

Can't wait to see him
