My daughter (who was two in October) recently came back with a
couple of funny "Blues Clues" related "jokes".
I told her during a cuddle time: "I love you, Emma" and she
said "I love you, mommy", so then I thought I'd sort of
explain "love" to her and I asked "do you know what that means,
Emma?" and my daughter exclaims "We're ready for our thinking
chair!"
I laughed out loud and decided to leave the heartfelt talk about
emotions for a later date.
Also this week my husband said to Emma while she was looking sleepy
before her nap: " Emma, you look pale." and Emma, thinking she
would be silly too, came back with: " Daddy, you look shovel". Of
course she didn't know that she had just made a clever joke. She
really thought he was telling her that she looked PAIL.
Cute.
