Hi everybody,

Although the thirtieth anniversary of STAR WARS's release is next
year, we at AFICIONADO have decided to do things a little
differently. STAR WARS began shooting in Tunisia on March 22nd 1976.
The legend began that day-at Tozeur-with the filming of Luke and
Owen Lars purchasing the droids from the Jawas.

It all starts right there, and STAR WARS AFICIONADO plans to
celebrate big time starting from March 22nd 2006. Though AFICIONADO
will be doing a double issue next year to celebrate the landmark
30th event anyway, the two YAHOO GROUPS (possibly three by the
middle to end of the year) will be having regular features,
exclusive to these sites(and fully revised and updated features
from previous early sell out issues), covering all aspects of the
STAR WARS MOVIE SAGA-and we have some features planned that we hope
haven't been done by anyone else before, as well as lots more
photos, and other interesting bits to put on.

We want to have you primed for 2007-and the next batch of
LUCASFILM's official celebrations!!!

And we want to hear from you-your memories of the films-both good
and bad, the events linked to STAR WARS that changed your lives. We
want to know who your favourite characters, scenes, ships, moments
are. We want to know why you love STAR WARS. And we want your
contributions-either for next years magazines or the YAHOO sites.
Lets see your features, your art, your photos-it's party time for
STAR WARS!!

STAR WARS AFICIONADO TEN is out very soon as well, so keep watching
the group for more info shortly, as well as the inclusion on the
sites of some features that we weren't able to put in the final
issue due to page constraints.
