If all goes well, Anurag Basu will direct Boney Kapoor's Mr India 2. Manmohan Shetty, co-producer of Mr India 2 confirmed this and said, "Anil and Sridevi should be there in the film. We have met Anurag and asked him to direct Mr India 2. A final decision will be taken on December 11." Anurag said, "Let's see what happens. But yes, I am in advanced talks to direct Mr India 2." Initially, Shekhar was asked to direct the sequel but he turned down the offer and had said, "I'm involved with Mr India 2 in the creative advisory capacity. I don't want to direct it." Buzz is Mr India 2 will have two couples. Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will play the older couple while the filmmakers are looking for actors who will play the younger couple.
