Hello all,

I was soo thrilled to read it. In today's Mumbai
Mirror dated(11 Sept 06)

The article

I can't imagine a Mr India sequel without Anil Kapoor
and Sridevi’

Nikhil Advani has his own plans for Mr India 2

SUBHASH K JHA

Ever since No Entry turned into a money-spinner,
producer Boney Kapoor has got into making sequels. His
next production will be a sequel to No Entry, directed
by Anees Bazmi again. But the big one for Boney is the
sequel to his 1987 blockbuster Mr India. But this
time, Shekhar Kapoor will not direct this sequel.
Instead, Nikhil Advani currently editing and marketing
Salaam-e-Ishq has been approached for the film.
"Yes, I've been sounded out," says Advani. "Mr Boney
Kapoor and I have had preliminary meetings. It would
be an honour to continue the Mr India story. I can't
see myself anywhere near Shekhar and I can't imagine a
Mr India sequel without Anil Kapoor and Sridevi."
Will Sridevi make a comeback in Mr India Part 2?
"It's a good possibility. I feel Sri is looking her
best and ready for a comeback. But it has to be
vehicle worthy of her, and Mr India is certainly
something she would be proud to do," says Kapoor.
The project isn't expected to take off before next
year. "Right now I can't think beyond Salaame-Ishq. I
still have 15 days of shooting with Sohail Khan and
John Abraham left," says Nikhil.
Why has he been lying low ever since No Entry?
"Isn't that ironical? When my films weren't doing well
I was releasing films almost every other month. Now
when I've a solid hit I've chosen to withdraw and
gather my thoughts, make sure that my finances and
creative departments are fully operational before
launching into my next," says Kapoor.
As for his No Entry sequel, Kapoor says, "This one
will be funnier, more savvy and crisper," says Boney.
Speaking on his departure from South Indian remakes
and his progress towards sequels Boney Kapoor says, "I
agree sequels are now doing well. But I had decided to
do a sequel to Mr India long ago and the minute No
Entry worked I was all for a sequel."
