Designer Manish Malhotra: Sridevi

I love dressing Sridevi. She has an innate sense of how costumes should look; she’s taught me so much about costume design. If I were to style her, I’d put her in a kurta and salwar – a slightly long kurta, with less embroidery and more sequin work.

The focus would be on cut and colour. I’d probably put her in emerald green or royal blue.

A chiffon sari with a sexy contrasting blouse would also look fabulous on her, but she’s always associated with a sari and I’d like to change that.
