Digital Tutors Develops App View for use with Maya’s Integrated Web Browser

Oklahoma City, OK – Digital-Tutors (DT) has just developed a brand new
feature on their web site, Maya App View, to work with the new Integrated Web
Browser in Maya 6. You can now follow along with DT’s free online training
in one of the Maya panels, while replicating the tutorials in the other.

This new feature provides Maya 6 users with a more convenient way to learn
with DT. “What we have done is taken our existing online content and sized
it to fit into a Maya panel,” says Papa. “You no longer have to switch
between application windows to follow along with DT’s training videos.” DT’s
Maya App View may be accessed by going to the Maya section of DT’s web site
and by clicking on the “view in Maya” link.

Look for the new training guide “What’s New in Maya 6” and “Mental Ray
training kit” coming soon to the Digital-Tutors store, as well as more
Backwater Bunch Modules.

Digital-Tutors maintains a video-based web site that offers free on-line
training in animation, visual effects, motion graphics, as well as web
design. DT’s training covers various industry standard software applications
such as: Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash,
Fireworks, and Microsoft Frontpage for graphic and web design; Adobe After
Effects for motion graphics and visual effects; and Alias’ Maya for 3d
modeling, animation, dynamics, rendering, Cloth, Fluids and Fur.

DT has also created The Backwater Bunch Production modules, guide traditional
and digital artists through an actual production pipeline from start to
finish. Module 1 includes the entire pre-production process, Module 2
includes advanced modeling for production, and Module 3 specializes in
advanced texturing.
