The Museum of the Cape Fear/1897 Poe House (Fayetteville, NC) will be hosting a
Span-Am living history day on April 27th, if anyone is interested in the NC/SC
area....some photos and weapons on display, period phonograph music going in the
background, etc., as well as an encampment in the yard. It is the 110th
anniversary...April 25 I think is the date of the declaration of war (accounts
seem to vary somewhat) Anyway, it's a fairly small, afternoon type event - 1:00
- 5:00 p.m., but I thought I'd throw this out there...
