Re: [Spanish American War Reenactors] Hello

There is a book out there that I recently checked out from our local
library. I can't remeber the name off the top of my head, but will get it and
send
it too you as soon as I can.
I know I'm still trying to get my equipment together for a Span. Am.
impression. I know the main thing I'm concentrating on right this moment is
getting the Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle for a generic portrayl of
Georgia, South Carolina & North Carolina State Troops. I know that the N.C.
boys
were issued the 73', and some of the other units issued other various arms.
A good source for a shirt and trousers is A.E.F. Supply, I know they
also have the Model 1899 Khaki uniform for somewhere around $180.00. As soon as
I can afford it I plan on picking one up. I also have a basic list of
suppliers of other equipment.
Kenneth.

Ken, Thanks. I know everyone wore a 'blue' campaign shirt; I guess what I'm wondering is were they all constructed from wool, or were there ...

The shirts were the standard Model 1883 Blue Wool Campaign Shirt from what I have been told. But as with every conflict there is no telling. Kenneth. ...

Ken, Thanks again. Unlike WWI, WWII, or even the CW, there doesn't seem to be a large reference guide on equipment and material, hence the questions... :( ......
