Hi Kenneth;
My name is Sam Kimpton and I am located in Portland Oregon.
We do 2nd oregon Volunteer Infantry, 14th US Infantry, 3rd US Artillery, and
1st US Cav here. Our group is small but there are several folks who got
involved during the Spanish American War Centenial who are still active in
the period.
Like you I am new to this period but not so to living history. I have done
The American Civil War, WWI, and WWII. I recently started putting together
my impression and joined this list in the hope that I would be able to get
some advice and enjoy a the lively discussion here.
Thus far you are the only sign of life I have seen on this list. I welcome
the comraderie. Don't let the silence here deter you from posting. If no
one else does at least we have shown that we can.
Good to see someone else here.
Sam Kimpton
