Greetings and Salutations;

My name is Sam Kimpton and I am the new kid here.

I have been collecting US Army related memorabilia for a long time and have been
involved in living history in several periods rangeing fom the Civil War to WWII
for about as long.

A couple of us are interested in portraying members of the 2nd Oregon volunteer
Infantry, and the 14th US Infantry-a dual impression both of which are related
to the area from which we hail (Portland/Vancouver). At this juncture we are
still in the organizational stage and are researching scources for equipment and
procuring some of the more difficult items needed.

Our emphasis will be on both The War with Spain and the Philipine Insurection.

It was with this in mind that I joined the group. I look forward to
participating in the exchange here. I hope to learn from you folks.
