Hi, sorry about not filling in anything.
I'm actually with Ship's Company, a navy reenactment unit in the
Washington DC/Baltimore area that does War of 1812 and Civil War but
am doing an exhibit on the history of women in the navy. One of the
big turning points for women in the navy and the armed forces in
general was the nurses in the Spanish American War. I did a search
for Spam-Am war lists to see if anyone portrayed nurses as well as to
find a good sulter for the time period.
So if anyone has information on specifically nurses during the Spam-
Am war, especially for things like uniform requirements, I'd really
appreciate it.
And if you are in the Baltimore area on October 26-27, join us on the
USS Constellation in the Baltimore harbor for the History of the Navy
weekend. The guys from the USS Olympia will be there as well.
Thanks in advance!!
