Iain,
You might try to find a copy of 'Grim Prarie Stories' from director
Wayne Coe. The anthology format film is very impressive, more so for
its framing device than all but one of the stories (which has no
supernatural element and is one of the most intelligent and
frightening short stories I have ever seen on film). Fair warning,
the film is hard to find on tape and apparently isn't available on
DVD, but I recommend it highly.
Take care,
Jon
