TCM Horror/Sci-Fi Films in October!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1271 of 1347 |
Hi classic horror film fans! :)

While at home enjoying the Ulmer fest today on TCM, I thought I'd
look ahead to their schedule for October and share my findings.
While not quite as extensive as last year when they featured Boris
Karloff and Hammer films all month, there are still some pretty good
films on there. I wish AMC was like it used to be, because their
horror fests were better, but now they pretty much suck----too many
ads, and not enough good classic stuff. TCM has less to offer
(though sometimes more rare things too), but TCM shows their films
uncut and commercial free! :)

Here are some horror and sci-fi gems I unearthed from TCM's October
schedule (all times EST):

Sunday, Oct 3

8:00 AM The Time Machine (1960) A turn-of-the-century inventor
sends himself into the future to save humanity. Rod Taylor, Yvette
Mimieux, Alan Young. D: George Pal. C 103m. LBX CC DVS

8:30 PM Village Of The Damned (1960) After a mysterious blackout,
the inhabitants of a British village give birth to emotionless,
super-powered offspring. George Sanders, Barbara Shelley, Michael
Gwynn. D: Wolf Rilla. BW 77m. LBX CC DVS

10:00 PM Children Of The Damned (1964) Space invaders impregnate
six women with super-powered offspring. Ian Hendry, Alan Badel,
Barbara Ferris. D: Anton Leader. BW 89m. LBX CC

***note: For several Sunday nights/Monday early morning, TCM will
be airing chapters from a French silent serial, which is fantasy and
features a costumed hero, called JUDEX (they start at 12am, but for
some reason TCM's schedule just shows 12am for all the chapters):
