I have loved Son of Dracula since first seeing it a few years backl. It's a bit
off the beaten path for Universal's Dracula story but it's definitely worth the
effort. The story is superb, the cinematography excellent and the stars all turn
in great performances. Doesn't hurt having the lovely Evelyn Ankers in it,
either! It's such a chilling, atmospheric film and is so much fun to watch. I
don't mind Chaney's Dracula. In fact, I like his physically imposing way of
playing it. It's an interesting change and works for the film. Plus, you gotta
love the little mustache...
