I dug Gwangi out the other night and gave it another look. It had
been longer than I thought, as a great deal of the movie came across
very fresh. I was particularly struck by the effectiveness of
Gwangi's tail, that communicated a lizard-like quality nearly
perfectly. Another thing that sets Gwangi apart was the particularly
good score. The musical background was dramatic and interesting and
worth listening to on its own merits.
