I too have been watching some of the old classics : Dracula,
Frankenstein, Wolfman, The Mummy, etc. It's amazing how these old
films hold up to repeated viewings. I find something fresh in nearly
every watching of a classic film.
But just recently I found Scream Blacula Scream. I got this
blacksploitation flick for a few bucks at a gas station on a lark and
boy was it entertaining. If anything this sequel is better made than
the original, if a bit less gruesome. The combination of voodoo and
vampires was fun, and it was a neat game to try and place all the
actors from previous roles. Pam Grier is in the movie and has a big
role, but William Marshall as Blacula (He actually calls himself that
in this one) is a tour de force.
