I don't give two hoots for Spencer Tracey's take on Stevenson's
classic character. I agree that the movie is almost too pristine in
its tone to do justice to this story, which is after all an
examination of man's evil. Tracey's Hyde never seems more than just
angry or irritated, not really evil.
