Hi, Kazzafox,
I called Paramount legal today to check for information. I expect a
return call tomorrow. I told them I wanted to know for a "high
school" production. I know that the music rights would be goverened
by either ASCAP or BMI depending on the publishing company
affiliation. I will see what they say. If you want info on a
commercial production of the Grease II script or story it would be
good to call Paramount at (323)956-5000 and ask for the Legal
Department. It probably is not a gigantic fee depending on your
production locale.
If your school or theatre already has an agreement with ASCAP and BMI
the music would be covered already.
Good luck,
Tom
