Hi, Dominic,
The last time I worked was last year in April of 2004. I worked on a movie
called Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang with Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer. It should
be coming out this summer. I played the part of Abraham Lincoln who was a
President of the U.S. in 1860.
I have often played Abraham Lincoln in various productions. I worked that role
in Happy Days, a TV series of the 1970s and 1980s and in Mork and Mindy, a TV
series from that same era. I also did comedy Abe Lincolns in Bringing Up Jack
which was a short-lived TV series of the 1980s with Matthew Lawrence and Drew
Carey, a TV show I worked on a few years ago. I also used my Abe outfit on The
Gong Show which was a comedy variety show here in L.A. many years ago. I did a
routine where I played guitar and sang and danced while I was Abe Lincoln. I was
on the Gong Show 13 times, twice as Rockin' Abe.
Here is a picture of me taken in 2004 on the set of Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang with
Robbie The Dog with whom I worked in the scene. The black and white picture is
me about 1981 with Robin Williams and Pam Dawber of Mork and Mindy where I was
Abe Lincoln in one episode. If they leave the scene in the movie it is a
hospital room where Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer are having hallucinations
and they see me and Elvis and others including the dog in the hospital room.
The interesting tie in here with your question about buying clothing on the
internet is that I bought some new Abe Lincoln attire (jacket and vest and hat)
on the internet shortly after doing this part and everything arrived in great
shape.
Thanks for asking about my career. As soon as the weather changes here, things
might become more active. I still have my little movies at
http://www.hollywoodscreams.com The quality is not great for dial-up but good
for DSL.
Thanks,
Tom Willett
